Without actually being manager of wetland areas, the Forum des Marais Atlantiques provides backing for local organisations to facilitate strategic management of the overall quality of the wetlands.

* Support for looking for specific assistance for the wetlands .   Facilitate recognition of wetland stakeholders and their needs

* directory of water managers…   Bringing together the managers in order to support them in their activities

Facilitate the emergence and implementation of projects and stakeholders   Strengthen the consultation processes initiated locally,   Respond to specific projects,

* Characterisation of the humid zone of the Poitevin wetlands and implementation of a common digital reference system
* Multi-disciplinary exploration of the quality of aquatic life in the ditches after being cleared out…
Develop objective and shared cartographic representations of wetland areas
* Technical support to put geographical information systems (GIS) on the wetlands into action
* Coherent representation of the hydrological network of the wetlands, definition of a common terminology,
* Help to develop plans.
